Probably you are not the only one feeling overwhelmed by this situation. Who could have possible thought that most of us would be on quarantine. In times like this we have made our sofa our best friend (Thanks BOLIA for my Mr. BIG).
The rich and famous has created thousands of videos of the need to stay home. The made “inspiring” videos from their big houses, sitting in their gardens, dipping in their swimming pools. Reality check, most of us live in small apartments, without balconies however are still grateful that we have a roof over our heads and food on our tables.
3 weeks ago I went out shopping and I bought this gorgeous pleated dress. My mind back then was full with work-stress and the thought that Easter was finally coming and I would finally get some time off. I would use the time to visit my family, who I haven’t seen in one and a half year. You see usually we prioritize work to seeing the ones we love. Looking back to the past year oI know I should have made time. I also know there was time.
Tonight it is Saturday. It is our 2nd Saturday after the Corona situation knocked our doors in Norway. My thoughts are with all my friends, colleagues and family who are fighting their own battles in the mindst of this. It is Saturday and even though I am not going to wear this pleated dress for Easter (as the original plan), I made my make up and hair and wore my good clothes us a reminder of how blessed lifes we have so far.
No one knows how the world is going to be in one month from now. My wish to all of you is keep safe, be responsible, take care of each other and why not take yourself “out” in the living room this Saturday night. Cook something nice, open a bottle of wine and do a small pray or wish that the rest of the world is doing fine. And if you feel you have it bad because you need to stay home reflect on the people that have no home, the ones that are loosing their jobs, the ones that are not as blessed as you.
