Crete’s hidden Sanctuary-Monastery Estate Retreat

Monastery Estate Retreat Chania, Nikolina Blogs, NikolinaBlogs, Boutique hotels Chania

After an almost whole working year without a break I took a few days off during June to get some sunshine, sand on my feet and loveliness. This time I needed something beautiful, isolated, cost friendly and relaxing. Being an empath and a part time extrovert on my holidays I get completely introverted and enjoy my solitude.

So a perfect day would start from the night before with early sleep. Whoever sleeps early, wakes up early (or just me). I would jump on my yoga mat, do my practice, a few minutes meditation, right afterwards quick dive in a pool, have a shower, have breakfast and then head to the beach or discover the place I am in. And that is the definition of my June Holidays.

I think what people mistakenly believe is that they have to spend a lot of money to stay in great places and have a good time. Well that was not the case here.

This place had everything. It was in the middle of the mountain but only 15 min. drive to the beach, no traffic or tourists around, great amenities, on point interior design, fantastic customer service, next to hiking trails, private pool for my after yoga-meditation state, greek original breakfast made by local products and the sun shining all day. On the top of that we got a complimentary treat to their beautiful spa. I try to think which were the best moments during my day here, waking up to this loveliness or the evening silence while reading a book under a clear blue sky and stars shining bright. It is difficult to choose. Every day I was just trying to breath all the beauty of this place and its surroundings in.

The time spent here was well spent time and it started one of the best periods of my life. And it all started with this phrase:

μή μου τοὺς κύκλους τάραττε!

Jealous! I need holidays. Can you write more about your trip there? We are going to Crete in two weeks. Any suggestions?
