Berries & Banana Vegan Smoothie

Rise and shine it’s Friday. I recently uploaded a poll on instagram whether you want the recipe of this super nutritious delicious vegan smoothie and the response was clear, YES YES YES!

I love smoothies. I could drink smoothies every day and I have tried so many different recipes during the past years (which I can share with you if you liked this one).

Smoothies are fun, quick to prepare and full with nutritious values!

One of the fruits that are delicious in Scandinavia and easy to find are berries!

Whether you pick them up by yourself or you buy them at the supermarket berries taste great with almond milk.

I buy unsweetened almond milk because fruit smoothies are already very sweet.

Ingredients

1/2 cup oats

1/2 cup blueberries

1/4 cup raspberries

1 ripe banana

2/4 cup vanilla or unsweetened almond milk

3/4 cups crushed ice (or ice cubes)


TIP

I hate ripe bananas however since the best way to eat the banana (nutritious wise) is ripe I buy the bananas, let them ripe and then cut them in pieces and place them in the freezer. This way are easy to eat!

Also I do the same with fruits that I do not eat immediately! This way I do not have to throw food or money!


Instructions

In the pitcher of your blender add the blueberries, raspberries, banana, almond milk, ice and oats.

Blend on high for a minutes until the smoothie is COMPLETELY smooth.

Pour over ice or drink as is.

Garnish with blueberries and fitness cereal if you’re feeling spontaneous and creative.

Also if this recipe is not sweet enough for you, you can add agave sirup to your liking. However I recommend to try it first before you add more sweetness in there! If you use ripe bananas you do not need to use any more type of sugar!
