A little bit of a busy period, a little bit of neglecting my nutrition, a little bit of moving apartments February welcomed me with a cold to remind me that I should hydrate, eat better and go back to my self care routines.
Nothing beats cold in the winter like a piping hot cup of ginger tea. Ginger is full of Vitamin C, magnesium, minerals and is very beneficial for our health. And while there are plenty of “ginger tea boxes” out there I prefer to make homemade ginger tea since it only takes a minute to prepare and it tasted delicious!
Nikolina’s ginger tea recipe
2 thick slices of ginger root
1 tea pot boiling water, 1 big slice lemon, 1 cinnamon stick and honey if you have a sweet tooth. (I prefer it without)
1.Put the ginger root slices directly in a tea pot.
2.Add the boiling water and allow it to steep for 5 to 10 minutes.
3.Add lemon, cinnamon and honey to taste
