I have been cheating lately on my blog. Many new projects and a small cold delayed my blogging situation. Today sun is shining and I am sitting on the living room with a warm cup of tea, flowers on the table and hands on my pc.
People love autumn, am I one of these people? not sure. My favourite season is summer and autumn brings me a certain sadness because summer is over. I have to admit I used to love autumn while living in Greece. It started a new period where everyone was busy, weather was still warm (14-18 degrees) and time went fast. Here it is a little bit different. Autumn is the beginning of a long winter. Autumn means temperature some times between 0 to 12 degrees, snuggling up in a thick blanket, candles inside, a mug of something steamy. Autumn also means a great opportunity to be around parks and enjoy nature. Autumn in Oslo means long walks and runs around parks and leaf crunching.
Early October finds me at Vigeland park, the world’s largest sculpture park made by a single artist, Gustav Vigeland. The unique sculpture park is his lifework with more than 200 sculptures in bronze, granite and wrought iron. The main theme in the park is the circle of life. This is also the reason why Vigeland displayed all the sculptures, except the one of himself, without clothes. He wanted them to be timeless.
